ANTIOCH, IL
This is Amanda & Dan’s hometown – where they were raised, went to high school, and most importantly, where they met and lived prior to moving to Florida. Located about 25 minutes from Burlington and Lake Geneva. The highlights of this town include the wide variety of local (dive) bars, as well as the endless amount of lake activities to do in the summer. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Please note, all of our recommendations that say “located in downtown Antioch” are probably within 3 minutes of each other (you could walk from place to place if you wanted!).

Amanda & Dan’s favorite pizza spot!
Stop by and enjoy some THIN CRUST pizza, drinks & sports. Dan & Amanda were definitely regulars here prior to moving to Florida, and this is pretty much the go-to spot in town!

THE LODGE OF ANTIOCH
In the mood to drink, people watch and play some slots? (gaming is huge in IL, btw). Stop by The Lodge!
Definitely a casual, dive bar type of vibe. Just keep in mind, we didn’t recommend this place to impress you! But you’re sure to have a great time if you can let loose and down a few drinks. They also have fairly good food!

THE LIMERICK
You guessed it – another dive bar!
Probably one of Dan and Amanda’s favorite dives in Antioch. They don’t have food, but they do have cheap drinks, and if you’re desperate enough, they will heat up a frozen pizza for you.

Small restaurant with incredible food, great live music (usually on the weekends), and great service. They have incredible farm to table burgers and a variety of other options (sorry, no pizza!). Perfect for a casual, romantic date night (we almost became regulars before we moved to FL)!

*NUMBER ONE RECOMMENDATION*
If we had to pick one place for you to go during your visit, this would be the place! If you want that non-touristy Chicago style pizza (again, you gotta order the thin crust), Italian beef and good beer, then this is your place. Incredible bar/restaurant with incredible food. Unfortunately, there won’t be any Packers games on during your stay, so you won’t get the full experience, but that’s okay! Dress casual! As with most bars in Wisconsin, this place will give you more of a that dive bar, homey feel.

We’ve never tried it, but knew we had to recommend a brewery around town for all of our Floridian friends!
